Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Comodly, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the platform.

2. Description of Service

Comodly is a WhatsApp group moderation platform. When you connect a WhatsApp account and select groups to monitor, the platform receives webhook events containing message content and group activity. This data is processed against your configured moderation rules and temporarily stored as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Use of the Service

Comodly is provided for legitimate WhatsApp group moderation purposes only. You agree:

  • Not to use the platform for spam, harassment, or any activity that violates WhatsApp's terms of service or applicable laws.
  • That you have the authority to moderate the groups you connect (i.e., you are a group admin).
  • To inform your group members that automated moderation is active, where required by applicable law.
  • Not to attempt to access groups, data, or accounts that do not belong to you.

4. Data Processing

By using Comodly, you acknowledge that:

  • Message content from your monitored groups is temporarily stored (up to 72 hours) to evaluate moderation rules.
  • Moderation actions, warnings, and participant data are retained for the lifetime of the tracked group.
  • Authentication events (including IP address and browser information) are logged for security purposes.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your use of Comodly complies with applicable data protection laws, including informing group participants where required.

5. Third-Party AI Processing

Comodly uses artificial intelligence services to power its moderation capabilities. By using the platform, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Messages from your monitored groups may be processed by Comodly's dedicated ML service for automated spam and toxicity detection.
  • If you configure custom semantic moderation rules, message content may be sent to OpenAI's API for evaluation against those rules.
  • No message content is stored by these third-party services beyond the duration required for processing. Messages are sent transiently and are not used to train third-party models.
  • You are responsible for informing your group members that messages may be processed by third-party AI services for moderation purposes, where required by applicable law.

6. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

A verified email address is required to access account features such as group management, moderation rule configuration, and data export requests. You must complete email verification before using these features.

7. Data Deletion & Portability

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. After account deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days. You may also request an export of your moderation logs and rule configurations by contacting privacy@comodly.com.

8. Limitation of Liability

Comodly is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the service, including but not limited to incorrect moderation actions, missed violations, or service interruptions. You acknowledge that automated moderation may occasionally produce false positives or miss content that violates your rules.

9. Service Availability

We aim to keep the platform available at all times, but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned maintenance in advance.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used in a manner that could harm the platform or other users. You may terminate your account at any time from your account settings.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
