WhatsApp is the world's largest messaging platform, home to millions of communities. But it was never built with group admins in mind. That's why we created a way to comodify any group — adding smart, automated moderation so admins can breathe.
Our mission
Every day, millions of people rely on WhatsApp groups to connect — for their neighbourhoods, businesses, faith communities, schools, and more. When those spaces get toxic, spammy, or unsafe, real damage is done.
Comodly gives group admins the power to protect their communities automatically, without spending every evening manually moderating messages. Clean communities shouldn't require full-time effort.
What we believe
Every feature we build starts with the same question: does this make communities safer? We never trade safety for growth.
A moderation action that takes 30 seconds is 30 seconds of harm. We optimize relentlessly for instant enforcement.
We build for the volunteer admin managing a 500-person group in their spare time. Complexity is a bug, not a feature.
WhatsApp's reach is global. Comodly works for communities in Lagos, Dakar, Mumbai, São Paulo, and everywhere in between.
Our journey
Our founder spent weeks helping community admins deal with spam floods, coordinated harassment, and endless manual moderation. The tools were terrible.
We launched a simple rule engine connected to WhatsApp via WAHA. Within 60 days, 200 groups were protected. Admins called it life-changing.
We added AI to catch what rules miss — subtle spam, coded language, and coordinated bad actors that keyword rules alone can't stop.
2,400+ community admins have comodified their groups — protecting 18 million messages each month. We're just getting started.
The team
A small, focused team distributed across three continents — all united by the same belief: communities deserve better tools.
